Challenge:  
 
  • Redesign a Airstream RV unit and integrate within it a mobile business.
  • The student was to select a business that would serve a humanitarian purpose and present compelling reasons why the business chosen would be beneficial for members of the community.
  • The Mobile Spa unit was developed to provide spa services to the elderly or disabled members of the community who may not otherwise have access to such services.
Criteria:  
 
  • Universal design considerations such as wheelchair access needed to be carefully thought out.
  • The unit was meant to accommodate two staff members as well as client(s).
  • A sleeping area as well as bathroom facility were required.
