Before	After

Modern-retro was the look I was hoping to achieve within this area of the apartment. The walls and carpet were neutral and allowed a lot of freedom in color choices for the furnishings and accents. Metal finishes were incorporated extensively to satisfy the modern look. A reproduction egg chair made from white acrylic as well as oddly shaped vases and other accents helped infuse the retro look with a modern twist. A black futon with brushed aluminum frame was selected for its comfort and functionality as well as its minimal footprint. Vibrant and rich colors completed the space.

Another interesting element within this space were the foldable chairs. The chair backs and seats are made of clear acrylic and are supported by a metal frame and legs. The chairs are very unique and add to the modern-retro theme. They are also foldable which allows them to be pulled out and hidden away when needed.
